BIO

My name is Olga Klochanko. I am an artist from Ukraine.

My creative journey began in high school, when I first started discovering the world through the lens of photography. I learned to see light, composition, atmosphere, and the character of a moment — all of which later became an important part of my visual language.

I hold a degree in Political Science, but for more than 15 years I have been working professionally in photography and retouching. Working with images, color, form, and the human figure gradually led me to a deeper interest in art.

I came to painting through my fascination with art history. The more I studied artists, eras, styles, and symbols, the stronger my desire became not only to understand art, but to speak through it myself.

This happened during the first year of the war. At that time, my soul deeply needed a space where I could dissolve, become silent, find inner support, and express what could not be said in words. Painting became that space for me.

After a year of studying in an art studio, I felt the need to speak in my own voice. I moved into my own studio, where I continue my creative journey today.

In my work, I explore color, geometry, mythological imagery, and the inner strength of the human being. For me, painting is a way to bring together personal experience, art history, and timeless symbols into one visual language
